Sky* was a hopeful eighth-grader in 2017, dreaming of her future. Despite her ambition, her parents who were rice farmers struggling to make ends meet, couldn't afford to send her to school. Sky was left only with the daunting prospect of working in the rice fields with her parents, or being married off.
Enter Yadfon, the dedicated manager of the Northern Thailand Scholarship Program at CLF, who became Sky's mentor. Through the CLF scholarship, a transformation was ignited in Sky's life. More than just financial assistance, it provided Sky with personalized support, including school supplies, term fees, and invaluable mentorship. This holistic approach not only empowered Sky to chase her academic dreams but also facilitated communication with her parents, who may have initially struggled to recognize the value of investing in her education…
